Beethoven Unwrapped invites audiences to experience the music of one of history’s greatest composers in a way that is immersive, immediate, and deeply human.
In the first half of the concert, conductor Brent Stewart guides the audience through Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 with the orchestra as a live demonstration. Rather than a traditional pre concert talk, the focus is on listening. Short musical extracts reveal how the symphony is built from obsessive rhythms, repeated patterns, and bursts of unstoppable energy, alongside the famous second movement whose quiet tread and emotional pull have fascinated listeners since its premiere. Stories, images, and sound are woven together to give listeners a clear sense of how the music moves, breathes, and surprises.
