Celebrate the festive season with a magnificent performance of Handel’s Messiah on Saturday, 13 December, at 7:30 pm in the Michael Fowler Centre. Presented by Orpheus Choir Wellington in collaboration with Orchestra Wellington, this timeless masterpiece has been a beacon of holiday joy for centuries, blending grandeur, beauty, and drama in equal measure.
Under the direction of Brent Stewart, Music Director of Orpheus Choir Wellington and one of New Zealand’s leading conductors, this performance promises to capture the full brilliance of Handel’s most beloved work. From the exuberance of Worthy is the Lamb to the powerful The Trumpet Shall Sound and the transcendent Hallelujah Chorus, Messiah is a musical journey that inspires and uplifts like no other.
